ABOUT US
Founded in 1977 by Terry McCaw, McCaw’s Drilling & Blasting Ltd. started as a small operation with minimal equipment, tackling highway projects across Western Canada. As demand grew, so did our capabilities. The addition of overburden anchor drills allowed us to establish a foothold in the rock and soil anchor industry, strengthening our expertise in drilling and blasting services.

By the late 1980s, we had taken on permafrost piling and municipal developments in Yellowknife, proving our ability to execute complex projects in Canada’s toughest environments. These formative years laid the foundation for the versatile drilling and blasting contractors we are today. Whether working in mining, pipelines, or civil works, we continue to exceed industry demands.

With a fleet of 50+ drills, ranging from small hole pluggers to large-diameter drilling rigs and specialized equipment for extreme slope work, McCaw’s is equipped to handle projects of any scale and complexity.
Designed for safety and performance, all drills meet OHS requirements, featuring roll-over protection (ROPS) on cab units and remote-controlled operation for stand-beside units.
